Policies and Shipping

  • We are going to have two sales. The first one is February 14th, 2026 at 9am PST. This is a flash sale lasting the long weekend, where we will only be offering Kamille’s Shortcake. We will offer combined shipping from this sale to the next sale. Please see our combined shipping terms & conditions. For every Kamille’s Shortcake you purchase, 15% will be going towards Meridian Drama department.

Our second sale has yet to be announced, so hurry on over to subscribe to our newsletter if you haven’t done so yet.

    • Where & How: We ship dahlia tubers within the U.S. exclusively via USPS for a flat $16 fee. Washington residents will be charged applicable sales tax based on your shipping address.

    • Timeline: We typically begin shipping after the threat of frost has passed in Whatcom County. You’ll receive a notification when your order is on its way.

    • Order Modifications: As a small, one-person team, we are unable to cancel or modify orders once they’ve been submitted. If you need to add items, please submit a separate order.

    • Local Pickup: Due to family commitments, we are unable to offer Farm Pick-up this year.

    • Shipping Delays/Loss: Once packages leave our farm, we cannot control transit times or guarantee against loss by the shipping carrier. For lost packages, please contact USPS directly for assistance.

    Refund & Replacement Policy

Please inspect your tubers as soon as they arrive. To be eligible for a refund or replacement, you must contact us via our form within 10 days of receipt with photos or videos if a tuber:

    • Does not have a viable eye (this doesn’t include dormant eye nodes).

    • Is damaged (rotted or broken).

    • Is incorrectly labeled.

    • Customer Responsibility: Once the 10-day window has passed, you assume full responsibility for the care and performance of your tubers.

Varietal Issues: While we take every precaution, if your dahlia blooms and is the wrong variety, please contact us before September 1st of the growing season. We will offer a refund or replacement for the following season.

What We Can’t Cover: We are not responsible for packages lost/damaged by USPS, or damage caused by factors outside our control (weather, pests, or improper gardener practices). Because it is difficult to determine where a virus occurred, we cannot offer refunds for them; however, we invite you to view our strict Virus Protocol.

  • Our Commitment to Quality:

We're committed to providing you with healthy, true-to-variety dahlia tubers. We guarantee that each tuber shipped will have at least one viable eye.

    If You Have a Concern:

We understand that sometimes issues can arise. If you receive a tuber that:

    • Does not have a viable eye (this doesn’t include a dormant eye node)

    • Is damaged (rotted, broken)

    • Is incorrectly labeled

You will need to contact us within 10 days by filling out this form of receiving your order. Photos or videos of the tuber in question will help us quickly resolve the issue. We'll be happy to offer a refund or replacement if said tuber does not have an eye.

    Varietal Issues:

While we take every precaution to ensure accuracy, if your dahlia blooms and you find it's the wrong variety, please contact us before September 1st of the growing season. We'll offer a refund or replacement for the following season.

    What We Can't Cover:

    We're not responsible for:

    • Packages lost or damaged by USPS. (You may wish to file a claim with USPS.)

    • Damage caused by factors outside our control, such as weather, pests, animals, or improper gardener practices.

    • Issues related to tuber storage, planting, or general plant performance. Dahlia tubers are perishable goods and require proper care.

    • Virus: this is a tricky one as it’s hard to know where the virus occurred. See our sanitation practices to see how stringent we are with culling & cleanliness.

    Checking Your Order:

Please inspect your tubers as soon as they arrive to ensure your order is correct. Contacting us within 10 days of receipt with any concerns, along with photos, helps us provide the best possible support (by filling out this form). After 10 days, we are unable to offer refunds or replacements.

  • We know it’s frustrating, but adding an item to your cart doesn’t guarantee it’s yours. As a small grower, we often have very limited quantities—sometimes less than a dozen! We recommend checking out with your top choices as soon as possible. If we run out of a variety you’ve ordered, we will reach out personally to discuss a substitution or refund; we never substitute without your permission.

    Also to note:

    • Limits: To ensure that more customers have access to our rare and limited varieties, a purchase limit is enforced per household. Orders suspected of using family or friends to bypass this limit will be subject to cancellation and a full refund.

    • Purchase Confirmation: Your order is not secured or confirmed until you have successfully completed the checkout process and received an order confirmation email and number. We cannot hold items in shopping carts.

  • Ensuring Healthy Dahlias

    • We take the health of our dahlias seriously. Our farm is inspected by the WSDA (Washington State Department of Agriculture) for diseases and pests.

    • In addition, we use Agdia test strips to regularly screen our dahlias for TSV and TSWV.

    • We also maintain a rigorous culling process, removing any plants that show signs of disease or are questionable, both during the growing season and while tubers are in storage.

    • We sanitize all snips between each plant in the growing season and between each clump during dividing.

    • Our priority is to provide you with healthy, vigorous tubers.

  • We are glad to offer combined shipping again this 2026 season. However, combined shipping will be offered for the following:

  • We appreciate your business! Because we're a small, one-person team, managing cancellations can be quite complex and time-consuming. Therefore, we're unable to cancel orders once they've been submitted. This policy also applies to adding or subtracting items. We hope you understand.

  • 2026 is our first year to release our very own introduction of Kamille’s Shortcake. This is sold exclusively at Kamille’s Flowers/Dahlias.

Creating truly exceptional dahlias is our focus. Our hybridizing program is a labor of love (along with raising teenagers and a puppy!), and we're committed to introducing varieties that meet the highest standards of form and beauty. We're pursuing ADS classification for our introductions and believe in transparency. We'll always disclose the grow-out period for each variety, giving you confidence in its performance and lineage. We're excited about the future of our dahlia breeding program and look forward to sharing our progress with you!
